Infection Control Measures at Duca Dentistry
Duca Dentistry is committed to ensuring the safety of our patients, treating doctors and staff as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath. In preparation of opening, our office has taken the following infection control measures:
HEPA Filtration System
he air filtration system at Duca Dentistry was upgraded to a medical grade High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration system. Medical grade HEPA filters are designed to trap 99.95% and 99.995% of all particles measuring 0.1 microns in diameter, which includes the virus that causes COVID-19.
Jade SCA5000C Air Purification System
Surgically Clean Air’s JADE Air Purifier is a medical grade air system that is one of the most advanced air purifying systems currently available on the market. Clinical research studies show that the JADE Air Purifier has excellent performance in hospitals, medical labs and dental clinics to clean and sterilize the indoor air. The multi stage filtration system captures dust particles, pollen, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), mold, allergens, viruses, odors (like formaldehyde and smoke), bio-aerosols, nitrous oxide, and many other pollutants that are found in the inside air in workplaces and residences.
Dry Shield
DryShield combines the tasks of high-suction evacuator, saliva ejector, bite block, tongue shield, and oral pathway protector. DryShield helps to keep a dentist office dry, clean and visible. In addition to isolation, retraction, and keeping the working environment clean, this modern isolation system provides continuous suction to help control and reduce aerosols.
Utilizing DryShield patient appointments are shorter with chair times reduced by an average of 25-40% per procedure. Hands-free, DryShield’s continuous suction also ensures patient safety and reduces the interaction between assistants and patients.
REME HALO® Whole Home In-Duct Air Purifier
The REME HALO® whole home in-duct air purifier is capable of purifying every cubic inch of air that our central air conditioning system reaches. The purifier was designed to eliminate sick building syndrome risks by reducing odors and air pollutants. REME HALO® is effective against all three categories of indoor air pollutants: particulates, microbial and gases.
The system has been thoroughly tested on airborne and surface bacteria and viruses, such as MRSA, e-coli, and Norwalk. Additional benefits include:
